GGI Innauguration latest minute

(I-Newswire) January 20, 2010 - BELOW IS THE MINUTES OF THE INAUGURAL MEETING OF GRASSROOTS GROWTH INTERNATIONAL(GGI) THE HOST NGO AND OWNER OF THIS FORUM HELD AT AJAH, LAGOS NIGERIA ON 29TH OF AUGUST, 2009
The meeting started at around 8.00am.The meeting had in attendance 11participants. It started with an audio-visual introduction of a documentary on the world and Africa transmission from slavery to significance and back to slavery in a rat race circle over the years and generation. An opening prayer was said by Barr. Olonade. After the worship, the anchor for the meeting, Mr Ayo Asaolu introduced Mr Caleb to take an interactive introductory session. He started by asking the participants to greet each other with shaking of hands and exchange of pleasantries.
Mr Asaolu then invited the chairperson at the meeting to relate the agenda for the meeting.
The chairperson Barrister Olonade read out the five-point agenda for the meeting.
The agend is as follow summarized;
1t, To find the way forward for Nigeria.
2, To provide an avenue /platform for societal and communal contributions to national development.
3, To strengthen our selves in other to be able to impact our immediate neighborhood and the extended world of Africa at large.
4, To spread to other nations as salt and light.
He, thereafter tried to define and explain the vision behind the name GGI international.
He explained the vision and the belief of organization as organized, coordinated and interlink effort to provide help to teeming population of youth from the rural to the urban area.
He also relate one after the other the beliefs, convictions, focus, plans, organs etc of the organization as started in the organization constitution.
In his address he emphasized the readiness of the organization to work together, liaise and interlink with other NGO’S achieve it goals. He also emphasized the crucial need for education and training of the Nigeria youths. He thereafter enumerated the steps to accomplish the goals.

In conclusion he informed the meeting that the organization is emission to out-line members and be successful handled over to the next generation in secession. After he concluded, the anchor announced the adjornment of the meeting for 5 minutes for participant to stretch their body and relax. After 8 mins, the meeting reconcerned with an invitation for responses and contributions from participants.
Mr. Caleb spoke first and made his new known. He advised that organization should look into a way of talking the major problems confronting the nature of Nigerian like, poverty, tribalism, illetracy and other to be identified problems.
Mr. Tunde contributed after, asking a couple of question:
1. A clarification on the name GGI
2. How far can we go.
He concluded by encouraging the meeting with the words of the great late American Leader Marthin Lurther King Jr. “ I have a dream”…….. He made an observation that the dream came to reality when Obama was declared President in America. The question were laid to rest by the chairperson, Barrister Olanade.
