GetYourIDX to run Developer Contest with CASH Prizes

(I-Newswire) November 18, 2009 - What could you do with property listings? We want to show the world what is possible when you combine different web technologies. Are you a Google Maps Master, an iPhone Application Enthusiast or have a great idea on browsing property listings, show us! Your applications can be as practical or as out there as you like. Lets get creative!

To get you started developing your application, we will give you free access to the GetYourIDX test feed, containing data suitable for developing and testing your application.

We have no problem with you using any of our GPL Open Source Plugins as a starting point or you can create your own entirely new application.

Some basic ideas to get you started: -

* Google Map Search of Properties
* Property Listings inside Google Earth
* Property Listings on the iPhone

ENTRY
To get started create a GetYourIDX account to get your developer key. All GetYourIDX accounts have access to the test feed as standard. Once you have completed your App send us a link to dev.comp@getyouridx.com and let us know, your name, what your application does and what you see its benefots are.

Second Prize of US$150
Third Prize of US$50

JUDGING
A GetYourIDX staff member will review the entries and the best will be published on our Web site and people will be invited to vote for their favorite via Twitter and through our web site.

CLOSING DATE
The competition will run from Sunday, 29th November 2009 for 8 weeks until the Sunday, 17th January 2010. All entries must be recieved before 9am EST on Monday, 18th January 2010. Entries recieved after the closing date will not be considered.
