Get Firk'd for Charity

UK (I-Newswire) March 3, 2011 - irkafirka, the world's favourite colourers-in of tweets, are turning their talents to raising cash for Red Nose Day.

To celebrate our anniversary, we will be firking nine to five on Friday 11th March in aid of Comic Relief. This means that we will put behind us childish things for the day, such as working for a living, and will instead devote ourselves to the enormously grown-up task of drawing silly pictures of people's silly tweets, non-stop for nine hours.

That's a lot of pencil sharpenings.

To get involved, follow @irkafirka and have a poke around http://irkafirka.com to see the kind of nonsense we get up to day-to-day. Then nominate your own tweets, your friends' tweets, or just tweets from random strangers by tagging them #FirkNoseDay. Finally, make a donation here - the bigger the better. Donations can be any size from a fiver upwards. We've blithely set ourselves an enormous and unreachable target, but you're all lovely people and we know you'll do your best to help us get somewhere near.

We'll be building a list of people to watch out for on the day, so for the price of a single donation we'll consider all your tweets for the entire day. So if you want us to watch anyone's tweets particularly closely chuck some change in our virtual collection bucket here and send us their username with the #FirkNoseDay tag.

What do you get for your donation?
That's a fair question. We're rather hoping to get swamped with requests and we'll only realistically be able to muster about ten hand-crafted doodles on the day. So it may be that you only get a little bit of nervous excitement for your money.

And what if you get firked?
Well, as usual we'll be posting the pictures online for instant sharability. We'll also give you a high resolution copy that you can print to your heart's content for long-term gigglability. And finally, whoever makes the largest single donation will receive the original technicolour doodle in a natty red frame as a lasting memento of their generosity.

Hang on though. What if you've already been firked?
For one day only, we will be suspending Rule 3 (http://irkafirka.com/the-rules). If you've already had the pleasure of being firked, and if you give us enough money, and if we like what you say sufficiently, there is a chance it could all happen again.
