Get a taste of the toughest of Xtreme Sports at the Cali Summer Kickoff

Many action sports announcers and sportscasters agree "BMX flatland is the toughest form of bicycle riding and one of the most skill intensive sports in the world today". Wheels of Balance will be at the Cali Summer Kickoff to entertain all, and introduce this sport to those who are unfamiliar with it. BMX flatland freestyle came out of the 80's action sports scene and has grown from who does the longest wheelie to stringing several different much more difficult tricks together in a non stop routine that can last as long as 10 minutes. This form of bicycle riding does not require any ramps or special equipment other than a BMX bicycle with axel pegs and a flat surface to ride on, making it fairly easy to get into. Also being fairly portable this form of personal expression is the perfect medium to add to television commercials, videos and film. Recently BMX flatland freestyle has been featured in several television commercials for such companies as Mountain Dew, Play Station and AT&T as well as music videos and movies.

Featured riders will be Rick De Laney, 5 times XGames veteran Wayne Seigmund, and introducing Chase Macaluso. Wayne Seigmund who has been doing BMX shows and competitions all over the USA for the past 21 years has been seen in competitions on ESPN as well as made several television appearances on news programs throughout the United States. Rick De Laney competed from 2001 to 2003 and over the last 4 he has concentrated on performing in bicycle stunt shows with a variety of companies and has now started his own company the Wheels of Balance Bicycle Stunt Team. Chase Macaluso nicknamed "The Machine" has been riding for less than 1 year and is already competing in expert class and performing in BMX stunt shows for Wheels of Balance. Chase is by far one of the most progressive and amazing riders the sport has seen in years and was recently invited to Japan by one of Japan's top riders. Wayne, Chase and Rick now ride for Wheels of Balance doing anti-drug, alcohol and smoking shows in schools all over northern California.

Wheels of Balance performs at schools and fairs all over California with a personal health, bicycle safety, antidrug, alcohol and smoking program. They also perform bicycle safety demonstrations at community events, bicycle shops and retail outlets.
