New positions will strengthen General & Mechanical Services’ ability to serve their growing customer base

(I-Newswire) September 7, 2010 - General & Mechanical Services (GMS), a leading provider of mission critical mechanical, electrical and plumbing services in the mid-Atlantic today announced two new hires with the appointment of Donna Giancola as Project Manager and Robert Battalini as Service Manager.

At GMS, Giancola and Battalini will work closely with Bryan Bruich, recently promoted to run service operations for GMS, on major projects and the day-to-day service business, respectively. Giancola joins GMS from Hewlett Packard where she helped manage projects within their Service Division. Battalini holds multiple mechanical engineering qualifications from Drexel University, Villanova and Penn State bringing a wealth of technical experience and knowledge to the role. These complementary skills are essential to GMS and will help ensure our customers receive the best possible service during project implementation and after completion.

“As GMS’ customer base continues to grow, we need to provide more focused attention on large projects and the service needs of our existing customers,” commented Greg Lilly, President of GMS. “With more technicians coming on board to handle the increasing workload, GMS needed to ensure proper oversight into all aspects of the service operation and we believe that Donna and Robert are both well suited to the task ahead of them.”
