Gardere Adds Commercial Litigation Partners in Houston Office

(I-Newswire) April 27, 2009 - HOUSTON – - Gardere Wynne Sewell LLP announces that Michael Cash and Wade Howard, two highly regarded commercial litigators, have joined Gardere's Houston office as partners in the firm's litigation group. They are joined by Senior Attorney Robert Montoya.

The three attorneys have decades of experience representing both plaintiffs and defendants in complex commercial litigation, including class actions and employment, personal injury and toxic tort litigation. They have tried dozens of cases to verdict in state and federal courts across the United States.

They also have extensive appellate experience, as well as expertise representing clients in settlement negotiations, mediation and arbitration. Before joining Gardere, the three were with the Houston office of Winstead, P.C.

Mr. Cash and Mr. Howard have both been recognized in Texas Monthly and Law & Politics Magazine as "Texas Super Lawyers." In addition, Mr. Cash is a faculty member of the National Institute of Trial Advocacy.

Mr. Cash received a J.D., cum laude, from Baylor University in 1985, and a B.A. from the University of Northern Colorado in Communications and Business in 1982. Mr. Howard received a J.D., magna cum laude, from the University of Houston in 1993, and a B.S. in Accounting, with honors, from the University of Arizona in 1987. Mr. Montoya received a J.D. from the University of Houston in 1996 and a B.A. in Psychology from Trinity University in 1993.

In addition to Texas, Mr. Cash and Mr. Howard are admitted to practice law in Louisiana.
