London (I-Newswire) October 27, 2011 - Do you have a great idea, but lack the funding to carry it out? Crowdfunding has been fantastic at helping thousands of projects get funded through the online community, and now, for a lucky couple of projects, it just got even better. UK based crowdfunding platform PleaseFund.Us are running a competition on their site looking for creative projects and are offering grants as prizes, to help people reach their fundraising goal.

The first place prize is a grant of £1000 ($1560 approx) and the second place prize is a grant of £500 ($780 approx).

The “PleaseFund.Us Creatives Fund” is to be awarded on the 25th of November to two lucky project owners. The winners will be chosen from all live projects on the site at the time. All applicants need to submit their crowdfunding project to PleaseFund.Us, and get the crowd behind them!

As long as you are over 18 and have a bank account, you and your project are eligible. Both you and your project can be based anywhere in the world.

The PleaseFund.Us judging panel will be looking to award the grant to brilliant projects that meet the criteria. They will take into account the creativity, novelty and brilliance of the idea, as well as how much support they can generate from the crowd via feedback from Facebook and Twitter. They are looking for passionate, dedicated and creative people, who are willing to put in the effort to get their project off the ground. And their efforts will be rewarded with cold, hard cash from the PleaseFund.Us piggy bank!
