Free Tool Assists Entrepreneurs Seeking Capital

In order to assist small business owners in need of funding the ExecutivePlan recently released a free 11 page guide, "Executive Summary 101: More Than Just a Summary", that will guide entrepreneurs through the process of writing an executive sum

The New York Times reported that lending for SBA guaranteed loan programs dropped two thirds in June 2010 from May 2010. In one month lending dropped from $1.9 billion in May to $647 million in June. In an attempt to assist small business owners in need of funding the ExecutivePlan recently released a free 11 page guide, "Executive Summary 101: More Than Just a Summary", that will guide entrepreneurs through the process of writing a dynamite business plan executive summary.

An executive summary is typically the first two pages of a business plan. An executive summary is probably the most important two pages a small business owner will ever write, because it serves as the first impression for their business. When applying for a loan most bankers and decision makers will request a business plan, but if the executive summary does not capture the attention of the banker and compel them to ask for more, the loan application will likely end in failure.

The recent release of this free step-by-step guide will allow small business owners to increase their chances of raising capital through loans or equity investments. According to Google's keyword tool there are 368,000 monthly searches around the globe for "executive summary" and almost 10,000 monthly searches for "How to write an executive summary". This clearly indicates a need and demand for assistance in writing executive summaries, but a quick search on Google will likely leave the small business owner looking for more. The first Google search result for "Executive Summary" and "How to Write an Executive Summary" is a couple hundred word ehow.com article that, if followed, gives little hope for the business owner to create a compelling executive summary.

With the lack of valuable resources available to small business owners, the ExecutivePlan launched a website to assist entrepreneurs as they write the executive summary of their business plan. The new 11 page guide to writing a powerful executive summary is available for free at www.theexecutiveplan.com. Adam Hoeksema, Founder of the ExecutivePlan said, "I am thrilled to offer this new resource to small business owners. I know conditions are tough for most entrepreneurs in need of capital right now, and I hope that this free guide will help many raise the capital they so desperately need."

Again, entrepreneurs can access the free guide at www.theexecutiveplan.com or contact Adam Hoeksema directley at adam.hoeksema@gmail.com for assistance.
