Do drugs, or don’t? Unfortunately, that is the question that faces all too many teens every day.

Nashville (I-Newswire) October 13, 2011 - Annually, Red Ribbon Week is celebrated across the United States to bring drug awareness and prevention to the public eye. It is observed during the last week of October.

The Foundation for a Drug-Free South will be celebrating all week long. “We have lined up seminars to give in schools and will continue our campaign to distribute the Truth About Drugs materials in every county of the Tennessee,” says Brian Fesler, who coordinates the Foundation activities in Nashville. The Foundation will deliver a Truth About Drugs seminar to schools in Benton, Union and Montgomery Counties. They will also be participating in two fairs where they will distribute their booklets.

“The Truth About Drugs are informational booklets that provide a complete understanding of what these drugs do to you. After reading it, a person would have to be crazy to even pick up a drug,” says Fesler.

Written in plain language, easy to understand, and available in 22 languages, this information explains the physical and mental effects of drugs on a person. It tells true stories of people who have used drugs and became addicted to them.
