Former World Heavyweight Champion Ray Mercer, Find A Dream's Director, Heading To London

Online, October 4, 2012 (Newswire.com) - Olympic Gold Medalist and former world heavyweight champion Ray Mercer will be making appearances at charity events in London next week. Mercer has been a Director with Find A Dream for two years. Mercer has actively worked with the nonprofit foundation to help spread awareness of their mission.

"Boxing has always been such a big part of my life," said Mercer. "It means a great deal to be part of Find A Dream and take our message overseas. It's all about giving back to the community, and if all I have to do is support Find A Dream to help kids' dreams come true, then I am all about it."

Chico Sherwood, also a Director of Find A Dream, Mercer will be doing a show in Cardiff on October 11, Big Cancer Charity Event in London October 12 and Boxing Writers Dinner At the Savoy in London October 15.Sherwood is also boxing agent for Ray Mercer, Michael Moorer, world champion, and Buddy McGirt, renowned boxing trainer, all Board Members of Find a Dream.

In recent months, Find A Dream made a significant impact in Myrtle Beach as they opened up their newest facility. Going forward they are looking to host several boxing camps throughout Europe. Mercer and Sherwood are looking to promote Find A Dream's cause through speaking engagements, appearances and interviews.
