Foodie Registry Announces First-Ever Gift and Charitable Donation Wedding Registry

Chicago, IL (I-Newswire) May 10, 2011 - Foodie Registry (www.FoodieRegistry.com), an innovative website where wedding couples can create a gift registry for restaurant gift certificates, now offers users the ability to register for select food and hunger-related charitable donations alongside their gift certificate options.

Initial non-profit partners featured on the site include the New York City Coalition Against Hunger (New York), God’s Love We Deliver (New York), Citymeals-on-Wheels (New York), Greater Chicago Food Depository (Chicago), Green City Market (Chicago), and Food Bank of the Rockies (Denver).

The initiative is called “Foodies Feed”, and is a direct response to the desire of many modern couples to insert charitable donations or other social do-gooding into their weddings. While there are standalone charitable gift registries already available, Foodie Registry is the first registry to provide users a blend of gift and donation options.
