Following the ‘1st Winter Carnival’ Celebrations for Christmas & New Year, Sivamani to Perform at AlphaOne

Ahmedabad (I-Newswire) January 5, 2012 - AlphaOne, Ahmedabad is all warmed up to welcome percussionist, Anandan Sivamani for the launch of Furtados, a store for all types of musical instruments on 5th January. Sivamani will perform for about 15 minutes in the central atrium at AlphaOne and will then lead the audience to the store on the first floor. He will then return for another 10 minutes performance! This will be followed by another enthralling performance by a local band.

On the happy occasions of Christmas and New Year Eve, AlphaOne, Ahmedabad dazzled with the festive spirit. The ‘Winter Carnival’ at AlphaOne started from December 23, 2011 till December 31, 2011 and was filled with vast opportunities and a stream of events for perfect fun and family outings for all Amdavadis.

The festive celebrations at AlphaOne, Ahmedabad included the visit of Mumbai Fighters (WSB) on December 23rd with fans of Mumbai Fighters cheering for their favourite boxers. Fun games and Quiz contests were organised by Red Bricks Knowledge Bus on December 23rd and Finals on 24th at the Food Court of AlphaOne. The activities included knowledge quizzes, contests and various game shows complete with interactive events for parents and kids. The delicious cake eating competition was conducted on December 26th in 3 categories, i.e., Kids group, Female group and Male group followed by the Final round. More than 50 people participated in the “Eat maximum cake slices in 1 minute” competition and the eventual winners were gifted with vouchers from Flavours, the Food Court at AlphaOne.

The Long and Strong hair contest was conducted on December 28th in 3 rounds namely, Hair quality judgment, Quick tips, Q&A round and Quick fix - a 5 minute hairdo challenge with make-up and hairstyling workshops. It got tremendous participation from the audience. The entire show was conducted by professionals in partnership with Cloud 9, the unisex salon. There was soft music and a dance competition on December 31st for the age group of 5 to 15 years including a performance on “Kolaveri Di” by Ideas Management College students. There were special prizes for the “Cutie Gal” and “Smarty Boy” of AlphaOne by “Lollipop -- only for kids”. The enthusiastic crowd enjoyed various fillers like Magic shows as well as MC led activities with great prizes and offers on all the brands amid never-ending fun and frolic all through till the New Year and beyond.
