FlowerPetal.Com Seeks to Help Tsunami Victims During Valentine's Day Rush

(I-Newswire) January 12, 2005 - Chicago based start up FlowerPetal.Com created a relief website http://tsunamirelief.flowerpetal.com to benefit the victims of last month's Asian Tsunami. FlowerPetal.Com will donate 12% of each purchase of flowers and gifts from its relief website to three non profit organization funds, distributed equally.

In an effort to jump start interest in the Tsunami Relief site, FlowerPetal.Com has launched a $10,000+ online advertising campaign to bring about awareness during the busy upcoming Valentine's Day season. Mark Benjamin one of the company's founders says, "With one of the busiest seasons in the flower industry right around the corner, we figured there's an opportunity to make a real difference for the victims.

We know people send flowers for Valentine's Day and other special occasions and want to help with the relief effort, so why not contribute through purchases they are already planning to make?"
