About Alphabet Lounge In January 2006, neighborhood staple, Alphabet Lounge began its humble transformation.  New owners Tanvir Chaudhury (Babu), Jon Cantor and Colin Barnhart decided to simply evolve Alphabet Lounge's current concept and vibe to establish this venue as a nightlife and neighborhood icon.  Barnhart, Cantor and Chaudhury envisioned a space that served as a vortex of local talent, history and debauchery.

Staying true to its East Village roots, Alphabet Lounge features artwork of local artists, murals of local painters, live performances from local bands and spirits from local bartenders.  Their goal is to create a space that grows with its neighborhood and fosters a sense of community while still hosting some kick-ass parties and wild nights.
