First Time Buyer Event for New Homes in Essex
The UK's largest house builder is hosting a first time buyer event this weekend on 10th and 11th September.
Online, September 6, 2011 (Newswire.com) - Barratt Homes will be hosting the event at one of their new developments in Essex called Reflections located in Colchester. Buyers who want to find a new property in the area can visit and see the new development and talk to the Barratt Homes team about the FirstBuy scheme available on the new homes.
The expanding development is at a waterside location on the Colne Harbour development site and includes one and two bedroom apartments that are designed and finished to a high standard. Most of these new flats for sale in Essex are being offered as part of the FirstBuy scheme which is the new Government scheme designed to help first time buyers get on the property ladder and buy their first properties.
The scheme is a shared equity scheme that makes buying a first home more affordable. Buyers can purchase the property for only 80% of the property sale price and with an affordable deposit of under £4000 based on a property price of a one bedroom home priced at £99,995 and a deposit of 4%. The remaining 20% is loaned and funded by Barratt Homes and the Homes & Communities Agency (HCA). If the property is sold after 5 years, 20% of the sale value would be paid back to the house builder.
