First Exotic Highland Lynx Cat Calendar Released for 2012

Roanoke (I-Newswire) December 12, 2011 - The Shepherd's Lair is proud to present the very first calendar of The Highland Lynx Cat for 2012! The Highland Lynx is a breed that originated in North Carolina at Joe Childers' Timberline Cattery in 1995. There are now thousands of these exotic and beloved felines in homes all around the world. These incredible cats are hybrids resulting from the mating of a Desert Lynx and a Jungle Curl, both of which are believed to have a bit of the wild in their bloodlines. They have exotic wild markings and wonderful, loving, playful, dog-like personalities, curled ears and often polydactyl paws and bobtails. They are highly intelligent and tend to be larger than average, with the males sometimes growing up to 25 pounds.

Up until now there has been no calendar representing this amazing breed of cat and many owners and breeders alike have desired to see one published. And so, with the help of several other Highland Lynx breeders in the United States and one in Canada, The Shepherd's Lair Cattery has designed the Highland Lynx Cat Calendar 2012 to bring these marvelous cats to the world in a form that can be enjoyed year round. From hundreds of marvelous photo's we selected as many Highlanders (as they are called within 'The Internation Cat Association') as could reasonably be fit in the calendar's pages to create a stunning visual for each month of 2012.

These cats have been featured in Cat Fancy, Animal Planet's Cats 101 and many other forums, websites, etc. for those who enjoy all things feline.
