Fireman Gets Paid to Save Local Businesses from Flames and Ineffective Online Marketing
Firefighter Mike LeMoine gets paid to help put out fires. After his shift, he gets paid to use Traffic Geyser’s new content-delivery system, Main Street Marketing Machines 2.0: Fusion, to help area businesses market themselves online.
San Diego, CA (I-Newswire) April 15, 2011 - Whether he’s rescuing people from a burning building, or using Traffic Geyser’s Internet marketing system, Main Street Marketing Machines 2.0: Fusion, to create more business for local companies, Fireman Mike LeMoine makes his community a better place.
“I’ve always loved firefighting, but I had an interest in making some additional income during my time outside of the firehouse,” said LeMoine. “Main Street Marketing Machines offered the opportunity to get paid while helping others, and I went for it.”
With so much media emphasis on the stock market and Fortune 500 companies, many people fail to think about the prospect of working with businesses right across the street.
“The media talks about the titans of industry, 24/7, but there are 29.6 million small businesses in the U.S. that deserve attention,” explained Mike Koenigs, CEO and Co-founder of Traffic Geyser. “These are mom & pop stores and services that dot the neighborhoods and towns across America. They want to do more online marketing, and they’re asking for help.”
With the economy dropping over the past few years, local businesses have started to learn the importance of being online, and understand it’s a way to increase revenue. But, according to Ideology, 46% of them don’t have a website or presence in social media at all.
To help reverse the trend, LeMoine began going after clients he wanted to work with by mixing his own, smart practices with the templates and tools found in the Main Street Marketing Machines system.
“Mike created a can’t-be-ignored technique that had clients coming to him,” offered Koenigs. “He used that—along with our free training—to start a successful business during the Great Recession, and ended up getting his first gig. It paid $5,000 for just four hours of work.”
