Finding The Talent In The Unemployed Through Apprenticeships
SWA, a UK based training provider, announce the benefits of finding talent in the unemployed through apprenticeships.
Leicester (I-Newswire) September 20, 2012 - With rising unemployment people are seeking new ways to get trained and ready for new jobs that they are not already trained for. The young people within our society seem to be suffering the most with more than 1,000,000 under 25s left without any sort or employment. But there is not all doom and gloom.
Many people can now take up training within apprenticeships which seem to be the new way to train. The government is quite proud of the rising number of people taking up these training schemes with numbers apparently up 60% in February 2012. As well as this the overall number of apprentices has quadrupled in the four years leading up to 2011. This shows that there is no age barrier to take up this new successful training scheme.
The older generation seem to be taking advantage of this as well with numbers for over 60s taking up apprenticeships up by 878%. This may seem shocking as this generation seem to be heading into retirement but with many of the over 60s being made redundant they are trying to end their long careers in a successful way, what better way to get ready for their new career by training in apprenticeships.
The reason apprenticeships are so successful is that they come with the prospect of a job in the future. This is ever more important as jobs are becoming harder to find. As well as this many people leaving higher education institutes like university seem to be struggling to get a job, so by having an apprenticeship you are more likely to succeed according to statistics.
Getting our young generation into training programs is becoming more important as they are left on the streets with nothing to do. The full effect of this was felt in the summer of 2011 as generally young people took to the streets in major cities like London, Manchester and Birmingham to loot and cause damage. But these people are not useless, with some training by companies such as SWA they can become the stars of the future.
SWA are training providers based in the UK. They offer a wide range of opportunities to employers and employees that allow them to benefit from the training and consulting that SWA offer in all areas of business.
