Finalists were chosen from over 400 contestants during nightly auditions hosted by local and area businesses, including Roper Apparel and Footwear, Interstate Ford of Dacono, and MillerCoors. Contestants were evaluated on singing talent, presentation and overall vocal performance.

"Roper is proud to extend its commitment to country music through its support of young new artists," said Lori Notman, Production Specialist with Roper Apparel and Footwear. "We are excited to host these national events that uncover emerging, young stars with a passion for country music."

Finalists of the American Country Star Competition include:
- Zoe Anderson, Denver, CO
- Matt Buckstein, Denver, CO

Wynn Varble, nationally recognized country music singer and songwriter, will be one of three expert panelists to judge the event.

"American Country Star is committed to helping new, up-and-coming performers showcase their talent and bring fresh, new sounds to the country music industry," said Woody Woodard, President of American Country Star Entertainment.
