Filmmaking Prodigy's Road to Hollywood Inspires Documentary

Online, February 2, 2011 (Newswire.com) - Already a veteran of ten independent films, Idaho's 13-year-old filmmaking prodigy Connor Williams (www. Imgoingtohollywood.com ) has begun work on his eleventh: a documentary that follows Connor as he combines his acting/filmmaking skills and entrepreneurial zeal to pave the way for a Hollywood career.

Inspired by his own film career, the documentary aims to vividly capture the entire range of emotions that affect Connor as he goes door to door selling his films on DVD. Not only does each DVD have his hard work etched onto it, but with each DVD he comes closer to his dream of making it to Hollywood - quite a fair distance from Idaho even for someone with his talents.

Even though he began very early, while still in a stroller, it hasn't always been a stroll in the park. With his family unable to afford the steep cost of him attending film auditions in LA and New York, Connor found inspiration in the movie "The Secret" and began selling five of his films on one DVD. His father proudly recalls an exultant Connor telling him after his maiden sale: "It beats selling lemonade."

The teenage auteur is upbeat about his latest cinematic adventure, which he hopes to showcase at next year's Sundance film festival. "I will be really happy if my documentary gets me noticed in Hollywood and, more importantly, I get at least one line in a Hollywood movie," he quips. "Just one line!"

This sense of excitement is shared by many around him, who are eagerly waiting to find out what Connor has in store for them next. "We love having Connor submit films in our film festival," says Oregon Film Festival's Sandi Jean Fuson. She believes that Connor has the "it" factor that Hollywood talks about.
