Free indie films, shorts, and documentaries site Festival of Films has released its schedule of new free movies online for the week of Jan. 15, 2012.

Deerfield Beach, FL (I-Newswire) January 19, 2012 - Festival of Films, one of the top free movie sites online, has released its schedule for the week of Jan. 15, 2012. Available online at http://www.FestivalofFilms.com, Festival of Films provides film lovers the opportunity to legally watch free full movies online, including feature films and documentaries.

Contributing to its selection of free documentaries online, Festival of Films will start the week with Sunday’s 2005 documentary “The Right To Be Wrong,” a look at the search for peace in modern Israel by Palestinians and Israelis, Jews and Arabs, and Muslims and Christians. Directed by Beth Toni Kruvant, the film interweaves multiple stories about day-to-day life in Israel.

Monday’s film, the 2001 feature “Another Life” by Philip Goodhew, is set in Edwardian London, and stars Natasha Little as an widow wrongly accused of murdering her husband after having an affair. Ioan Gruffudd, Nick Moran, and Imelda Staunton co-star in this addition to Festival of Films' selection of free new movies online.

On Tuesday, the site will add 2009's “Thrush," a five-minute work directed by Gabriel Bisset-Smith and Graham Turner, to its page of short films online. The acclaimed short outlines the beginning and end of a relationship using only photographs, narration, and background music.

For users looking to watch documentaries online, Wednesday’s “Fat, Sick & Nearly Dead" is a compelling film chronicling the attempts of two men to regain their health after battles with steroids, obesity, and illness. The film, directed by Joe Cross, is winner of a number of awards, including Best Documentary Feature at the 2010 Iowa Independent Film Festival, the Turning Point Award and the Audience Choice Award for Documentary at the 2010 Sonoma International Film Festival.

Thursday continues Festival of Films’ tradition of weekly Current and Classic Movie Clips, a unique feature among free movie sites online. Here, Festival of Films brings together a collection of scenes from films past and present based on a unifying theme.

Friday features another documentary, “Fault Lines: Mental Illness in US Prisons," a 12-minute look at a journalist’s investigative report on the criminalization of the mentally ill in America. Among the most thought-provoking of Festival of Films' collection of free documentaries online, "Fault Lines" depicts the plight of over 300,000 mentally ill inmates currently serving in American prisons.

The free indie films site will air “Too Young To Die?” on Saturday, a 1990 TV movie loosely based on the story of Attina Marie Cannaday, a 16-year-old homicide co-conspirator. Starring Juliette Lewis as the character inspired by Cannaday and Brad Pitt as her cohort, “Too Young To Die?” takes a hard look at the debate about the death penalty in America.
