Fashion on The Hudson III

New York (I-Newswire) July 11, 2011 - Fashion on the Hudson is an annual event sponsored by Sofia Davis of Beauty Television & Entertainment (BTE TV), Fashion Avenue News Magazine, Vera Moore Cosmetics, The NY Women’s Uptown Chamber of Commerce and George P. Blount, Owner of Global Business Institute. We are very pleased to have the Paris France, Editor-in-Chief Neima Wilson fly in to attend this event. This Runway show features Fashion Designers, Models, Hair Stylists and Make Up Artist. The show is geared toward Buyers, Editors, Stylists, Media, and Industry Professionals.

Staged on a 50 foot – Double T OUTDOOR Runway, Fashion on the Hudson promises to be an event you won’t soon forget. What makes Fashion on the Hudson unique; is the Fashion Designers, known as the World’s Undiscovered Talent.

This season, as part of our fashion line up, we are proud to present The Brownstone, Mr. Witherspoon, Robert Brown Productions from Washington DC, Tru Diva Designs for the full figured model, Thomas LaVone Woodard, winner of the $5,000 Fashion and Beauty Olympics and featured designer on the Jerseylious Reality TV show, Stephanie Nunn from Ohio, The House of Rico, Laura Williams from Washington DC, Enyani Kids Couture, Street M.O.D.E. and Pamm Thomas from North Carolina and Monee Pastel from Atlanta, GA to name a few.

Our entertainment segment consist of Songstress Jamie Knight part of Orpheus/Universal Music Group, R.E.A.L. Muzic Luvers, The Belly Jazz Dolls – part of the Alvin Ailey extension fitness group, The Uptown Dance Academy and the Girl Scouts.

Our show will open with a tribute and award presentation created for the full figured model Mia Amber who passed away in May of this year. She was schedule to walk the runway with us this season as she did every season. Veronica Liscomb will lead the presentation and is the first recipient of the Mia Amber Award. The Fashion Icon and F.A.M.E. awards will be presented to; Consuella Moore of Vera Moore Cosmetics, Jamie Knight, Stephanie Nunn, 8 year old LaDeja Hampton from Florida and Freda Blackwell of Rockland County as Little Miss Runway, just to name a few.
