The Facts of Life star, Survivor: Philippines Castaway and Author Lisa Whelchel to Appear at the Great Vacations Travel EXPO

Columbus, Ohio (I-Newswire) January 7, 2013 - Lisa Whelchel will appear at 3 p.m. on Saturday, January 19 at the Great Vacations Travel EXPO, presented by AAA. Best known for her starring role as Blair Warner on the 1980s sitcom The Facts of Life, Whelchel just completed her adventure as a castaway on Survivor: Philippines. She will share her unique travel and life experiences with EXPO guests and will answer audience questions and sign autographs in the Sprint® booth. Whelchel’s appearance is made possible by Sprint®.

Whelchel started her acting career at age 13 as a Mouseketeer on Walt Disney’s The New Mickey Mouse Club. The Littlefield, Texas native wrote her first book, Creative Correction, which was released in 2000 and has sold more than 200,000 copies. Whelchel continued writing, penning more than a dozen more books, including, The Facts of Life and Other Lessons My Father Taught Me, So You’re Thinking About Homeschooling, The Busy Mom’s Guide series, and her most recent, Friendship For Grownups. Looking to help other moms refresh and find support, she founded MomTime Ministries and Personal Mom Coaching. Whelchel is also an international speaker and has toured with Women of Faith, Extraordinary Women and 12 Gifts of Christmas.

EXPO hours are Friday 12 p.m. - 8 p.m., Saturday 10 a.m. - 8 p.m., and Sunday 11 a.m. - 5 p.m. Tickets are available at the door or at any AAA Ohio Auto Club store for $9.
