Proceeds from “Team Up with Tim Howard” raffle to benefit children and families with Tourette Syndrome

Somerville, NJ (I-Newswire) March 17, 2011 - Tim Howard walks the walk.

He knows what it’s like to be a kid with a neurological disorder which causes erratic muscle movements or uncontrollable sounds. He also knows what it’s like to overcome obstacles like Tourette Syndrome and achieve great success. There are many reasons why Tim Howard is an inspiration, and his commitment to children and families with TS is certainly at the top of the list.

The Everton goalkeeper is helping the New Jersey Center for Tourette Syndrome, a non-profit from his home state, by inviting the winner of the “Team Up with Tim Howard” raffle to meet him in the U.K.

“I look forward to hosting this year’s winner to an Everton game and dinner,” said Howard, goalkeeper for the Everton Football Club. Proceeds from the raffle will benefit the programs and services of the New Jersey Center for Tourette Syndrome. “Though based in the Garden State, the work of NJCTS benefits the entire TS community through our research, family outreach, education and medical training programs,” said NJCTS Executive Director Faith Rice.

Tickets are on sale now through June 1st by visiting TeamUpwithTimHoward.org for $25 each or 5 tickets for $100. The winner will receive round-trip airfare for two from Newark Liberty International airport in New Jersey to Manchester, U.K.; hotel accommodations; two tickets to an Everton Football Club match and dinner with Tim Howard.

U.S. residents age 18 and over can download and order form at TeamUpwithTimHoward.org and mailing the completed form and payment to:

The NJ Center for Tourette Syndrome is a 501 (c )(3). No substitution of the offered prize may be made and no cash will be given in lieu of the prize.
