The Law Education class gives an introduction to the legal system and teaches students law that they can use in their everyday lives. Attorney Guthrie gave some background about his day to day responsibilities that his career entails and described some of the intricacies of the legal profession. Mr. Guthrie spoke about the steps that he took from his days in high school to going to college to finishing law school to passing the bar exam to becoming a lawyer. Attorney Evan Guthrie gave advice the students how to choose a career that may or may not be in the legal profession.

The students that were in the law education class ranged from Sophmores to Seniors and had many questions that ranged from what salary attorneys have, what cars attorneys drive, and even difficult moral and ethical questions such as how do you represent someone you know is guilty. Attorney Guthrie spoke to two different classes of Law Education students and each class was attentive and asked numerous good questions. Mr. Guthrie enjoyed being able to talk to students that were interested in the law and give back to the community through visiting a local high school.
