Evan Guthrie Law Firm Presents At ABA Leadership Summit Panel

Charleston, SC (I-Newswire) January 3, 2012 - Attorney Evan Guthrie of the Evan Guthrie Law Firm in Charleston, South Carolina spoke at the American Bar Association Fall Leadership Summit Circuits 4-5-6 on Saturday, October 15, 2011 in Charleston SC. Attorney Guthrie spoke on a panel named Solo Practitioner Discussion about how to have a successful law firm. The American Bar Association Fall Leadership Summit is designed to give law students advice and education to become leaders at their school and leaders in the legal world after they graduate from law school. Circuits 4-5-6 of the American Bar Association cover law students from school in states including Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Michigan, Mississippi, North Carolina, Ohio, Puerto Rico, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia, and West Virginia. Mr. Guthrie spoke to the students about his experiences starting and operating his own law firm. Attorney Guthrie talked about how he had successfully went straight from law school to being in charge of a law firm and gave tips that the students could use.

Attorney Evan Guthrie answered questions from the students that ranged from how to market a law firm and get business going to what made him want to open his own firm. Attorney Guthrie also participated in a resume review and career advice session where he went over resumes from the law students and gave them advice on how to improve them and what employers are looking for and what they could do to improve their prospects of getting a job later on. Mr. Guthrie was happy to help law students that were not too far away from where he was and give back by sharing his knowledge and experience.
