European Microstock Player Pixmac Strengthens North American Team And Shows Rapid Growth.

Microstock company Pixmac strengthens team in North America and shows rapid growth in the last three months.

Microstock startup Pixmac strengthened its team earlier in the summer with the appointment of Simon Raybould as Director of sales and marketing for North America. Previously Raybould worked with the V.C.G Group and London-based Getty Images in London, and most recently at Corbis and Veer in Canada.

"We hear a lot about how the industry has been in turmoil and it seems to be always bad news for photographers - well our perspective is the opposite. It's the best time in the industry - if you are a buyer that is. Great imagery is now available at a great price point - couple this with great technology and a genuine care for people's graphic design work and you have a winning formula."

Fresh faced, 2 year old start-up Pixmac has built a fabulous user interface from the ground up and is growing fast in the North American market. Everything is based around helping the world's designers. For example, Pixmac does not ask people to register, set-up a username, login or passwords if they don't want to. Users can just find an image - and buy it for a few dollars. One less thing to worry about, explains Raybould.

The company has over 11 million images on its website and this includes both Fotolia and Dreamstime.
