Slovakian Sensation Has Come To The United States To Widen Her Brand

New York, NY (I-Newswire) March 14, 2012 - Turn on any pop radio station in Slovakia and it won’t take long to hear the name, Dominika Stará. After her memorable performance on Czechoslovakian Idol, Dominika’s singing career has been on a constant rise. Out of the thousands of hopefuls that auditioned, Dominika continued to advance in the competition until she was the last female singer remaining.

The television show gave her the platform she needed to show her country and the entire world, just how much talent she has. After the show Dominka spent two years touring in Europe and even performed for the President of Slovakia. Her latest single, “Have Some Fun”, topped Ujdeto (Czech Republic charts) at #1 for two months and now she is ready to expand her career to the United States.

Dominika recently began filming her own reality show entitled, “The Making of a Stara”. The show documents her time in New York City and viewers get to see her working alongside hip hop stars like Cassidy and watch her cry when she listens to ballad written for her by Oscar nominated songwriter, Siedah Garrett.

Born Dominika Stará on August 13, 1993, in Dunajská Streda, she is best known for competing in the first season of Czecho Slovakian Superstar (the Slovakian American Idol) where she placed third.
Dominika grew up in the small town of Šamorín with her two brothers, Johny and Samuel. She was passionate about singing from a young age and is ready to be a positive teen role model and is well on her way to becoming a legend in the music industry.
