Carolyn Peck, acclaimed ESPN basketball analyst, makes it her mission to help young girls realize their dreams when she speaks at Girls Inc. Atlanta on April 14th to promote self-esteem and confidence

Atlanta, GA (I-Newswire) March 31, 2011 - Carolyn Peck is an acclaimed ESPN basketball analyst and NCAA Championship women’s head coach (Purdue, 1999)— but standing at 6’4”, she knows how self-esteem issues can impede the path to success, and is passionate about helping young females explore their full potential. As an ambassador for Barefoot Tess, an extended sizes shoe retailer, she helps other tall women find stylish shoes that actually fit, so that they are able to dress for success and feel confident in their appearance.

Peck will be speaking at Girls Inc. Atlanta on April 14th, to share her experience regarding overcoming self-esteem issues during an awkward growth phase in her formative teen years (Peck is 6’4 tall). Peck’s mission is to help young girls realize their dreams by instilling positive self-esteem and confidence, no matter the dress size or the shoe size. Peck and Barefoot Tess will collectively co-sponsor a promotion, providing the girls with a unique, once in a lifetime opportunity—to design their dream shoe. The winning designer will have a shoe produced under their name with a portion of the proceeds from the sales benefitting Girls Inc.

Girls Incorporated is a nonprofit organization that empowers young girls to shape their futures through a network of local organizations in the United States and Canada. The Girls Inc. girl is uplifted by the strength of a national organization that is committed to inspiring the leaders of tomorrow.
