Epworth Announces New Development Team Members

Rev. Carl Schenck, Nora Kelleher and Rachel Kraby step into new roles for 150th anniversary

Epworth Children and Family Services announces its new Development Team in preparation for its 150th anniversary celebration on July 20. Epworth welcomes three new team members this month, including Rev. Carl Schenck, director of church and community relations; Nora Kelleher, director of corporate and foundation relations; and Rachel Kraby, director of marketing and communications.

"We have come a long way since our founding in 1864 and our vision for Epworth is stronger than ever this year," said Kevin Drollinger, chief executive officer of Epworth Children & Family Services. "I am proud to welcome Carl, Nora and Rachel to our team during such an exciting milestone. Their combined experience, passion and dedication will help further our mission to build stronger families in the St. Louis community."

Schenck was a previous member on Epworth's Governing Board and now joins the staff part-time. He has long been a leader in the Methodist community of St. Louis, most recently at Manchester United Church and Eden Seminary. Schenck will be in charge of developing plans to strengthen the agency's ties with local churches.

Kelleher has more than 15 years of experience in writing and managing foundation, corporate and government grants for nonprofits. For the past 10 years, she has served as development director for Giant Steps, a therapeutic school for children with autism. Kelleher will be taking a leadership role on Epworth's grant team to expand activity and capacity in this area. Her areas of expertise include corporate fundraising, prospect research and funder identification.

Originally from Minnesota, Kraby has previous experience in marketing, special events, community and public relations. As the new director of marketing and communications, she is responsible for creating and leading the 150th anniversary campaign, as well as driving new opportunities for Epworth within the St. Louis community.
