Yonkers, NY (I-Newswire) January 27, 2012 - It will be a month-long Mardi Gras when Empire City Casino at Yonkers Raceway leaps into February with a promotions, giveaway and entertainment calendar that is a sure-fire way to have patrons enjoying a Super Sweet time at the “Jackpot Next Door.” The “Big Game Super Bowl T-Shirt Giveaway” on Sunday, February 5, the “Valentine’s Day CZ Earring Giveaway” and Facebook-driven “Jewelry Giveaway” on Tuesday, February 14, and the “Mardi Gras Hat and Crown Giveaway” on Tuesday, February 21, will be among the highlights.
The ever-popular Lucky Ladies promotions on Tuesdays, Young at Heart musical entertainment, Crazy Wheels and Comedy Nights on Wednesdays, and Mystery Prize Giveaways on Thursdays all will have return engagements.
Super Bowl Sunday, February 5, features a free T-shirt for Empire Club members who visit a promotions kiosk for a coupon, while supplies last. The promotions table for redemption is located near the Entertainment Lounge in the Gotham Palace.
Empire City will make its players its Sweethearts on Valentine’s Day, February 14, when Empire Club members receive a free pair of two-carat CZ earrings while supplies last. From February 1-13, Empire City's Facebook fans can enter a promotion to win a Tiffany's Metro Heart Pendant, 18K white gold with round brilliant diamonds and 16” chain valued at $875.00. The pendant winner will also be selected on Valentine’s Day.
The fourth giveaway of the month celebrates the Mardi Gras on February 21 with a hat/crown giveaway for Empire Club members, as well as drink specials and a Dixie Land band performance from 2:00-5:00 pm at the Entertainment Lounge.
The Empire City laughfests on the schedule for the month are slated for February 8 and February 22 in the third floor Good Time Room. The doors open at 7:00 PM, and the show starts at 8:00 PM. Admission is $5 for Empire Club members, and $15 for non-members. All attendees receive one FREE drink ticket. On Tuesdays in February, “Lucky Ladies” days are back, with every female Empire Club member eligible for $7 in free play, and a 10% discount coupon for food and beverage purchases. The Ladies fun continues into the evening with two for one drink specials in the Entertainment Lounge from 5:00 PM – 9:00 PM and Karaoke beginning at 7:30 PM. The Tuesday dates are February 7th, 14th, 21st and 28th.
Wednesdays continue the long-running Young at Heart promotion where Empire Club members age 55 and over who visit a Promotions Booth or kiosk will receive the Young at Heart “Gift Pack,” featuring $5 in Free Play, 10% food discount coupons, half price Valet Parking and a different gift each week: Glass Trinket Boxes; Swan, Heart, Double Heart, butterfly and ring holder. One gift per person, per promotional day, while supplies last. The February Young at Heart Entertainment, with bands scheduled at both 12:00 PM and 2:00 PM, include: February 1st, Guss Hayes Band; February 8th, Beauty and the Grease; February 15th, The Chickettes; February 22nd, the Golden Voice of Charles Russo; and a Leap Year special, February 29th, the Peter Lawrence Orchestra.
Patrons will go continue to go crazy in the second month of the new “Crazy Wheel” promotion on Wednesday February 1st, February 8th, February 15th, February 22nd, and February 29th, from 9:00 PM to 12:00 AM at the Entertainment Lounge, introducing the new generation of interactive entertainment blending the best of karaoke, trivia, name that tune, clips from favorite TV shows and movies, and prizes for audience participants.
Gifts galore are the watchwords for the “Mystery Prize” (kiosk promo) on Thursdays February 2nd, February 9th, February 16th, and February 23rd when everyone wins a prize. Empire Club members can swipe their card at any Promotions Kiosk to play the Mystery Prize game, pick a box, and win a prize.
