Los Angeles (I-Newswire) April 4, 2011 - Ever present, the last four years for DegreeZero aka. Derek Lefholz has been tumultuous to say the least. Over the last couple years has continued to release singles, EPs and albums; most recently, “Atmospheres”, by DegreeZero, as well as “The Fly” and “Inside This Old Heart”, a song that features the vocals of Derek’s father, Gregory Alan Lefholz. Derek reflects, “Dad was coming out to Los Angeles to see me and I recorded his vocals acapella. The recording was done in one day, in my hometown, I then built the song around the vocal - a total of around a month went into it, before it went to mix and master with my younger brother “Little”…aka Dustin Lefholz.”
Leading the charge, Greg has been playing for years 40+ years to audiences far and wide. Working together is important for the crew as they continue to write, produce, track, mix and master songs together as well as run sound and play live shows on a consistent basis. Father Greg, can be found in mid-Missouri, rockin’ out a Blues, Rock show where soul burners, Come to Jesus. Dustin, an engineer in Nashville has over 100 professional audio engineering credits, including; a Dove Award. DegreeZero, has over 50 songs ready to release and may do them in a bulk fashion this year. “I’m not sure I may just give them all away free online, who knows, the state of the industry for an artist is a daunting.” Needless to say there is much more to come from this crew. You can stay abreast of DegreeZero and his Label, Embark Music's works, which can be found on Itunes, online and now in Los Angeles as an area bi-monthly periodical and an Art Gallery in location in Hermosa Beach, CA.
There promises to be art, love and music in the family for years to come as Derek’s wife - Kristi, is a avid artist, focusing on mosaicing, knitting, Kard Kreations, and crafts in general. Tracy, Dustin’s wife, is a painter that has canvases available in the Embark Gallery. Even Greg’s Love, Karin is a pianist that plays the likes of Beethoven, Handle and others. Younger brother Damon Lefholz is playing bass and guitar and in a band and youngest sibling Kyndra is aspiring to be a singer of the country influence. I guess it’s easy to say…… it’s, family tradition.
