Eide Magazine releases its Summer 2014 "Adventure Issue" at retailers nationwide this week. The award-winning, high-fashion and lifestyle magazine based in the South explores designers, locations and stories that inspire the need for discovery in the new issue.

"The concept of the issue came from the notion that you have to travel for an adventure," says Tova Gelfond, founder and Editor-in-Chief of Eide Magazine. "But, thrill-seeking isn't just bound to far-off distances."

The risk-taking issue gives particular attention to the home of nationally acclaimed design duo Smith Hanes and Alisa Barry, summer tartine recipes from notable food blogger Julia Gartland and an athletic fashion editorial featuring dancers from the prestigious Atlanta Ballet. Other features and departments give an exclusive glimpse into the Peruvian landscape, the history of skydiving and the future of clothing crafted from microbes. The issue will stay on newsstands through August first. A digital issue is available on the website as well, at http://issuu.com/eidemagazine/docs/theadventureissue

"Eide is continually trying to push the limitations of a conventional fashion magazine and offer new and innovative content," Gelfond says. "The 'Adventure Issue' in particular serves to highlight the spirit of discovery we are all trying to fulfill."

Eide's Summer edition, the "Adventure Issue," can be purchased for $6.99. For a full list of distribution locations, please visit www.eidemagazine.com/distribution-locations/.
