The technology pack of the AUDI A4 Navigation is state-of-the-art as well. The MMI Navigation system plus has a topography map that displays town models and places of interest in high-res 7-inch color and 3D display. The system boasts of WB7 three alternate routes, with the capability to scroll through the chosen route and maneuver 7x4 within a map. When combined with mobile phone preparation, the system utilizes images from Google Earth for navigation.
The technology pack also includes the AUDI music interface and AUDI parking system plus. The music interface for the A4's AUDI Navigation System has connectivity that can be used with audio sources like MP3 and USB devices like the Apple iPod and Apple iPhone. The parking system is included in the Saloon Black Edition and Standard models. This is described as a visual and acoustic park assist system for the rear and the front.
The advanced technology package of the AUDI A4 Navigation includes an adaptive cruise control and active lane assist. The cruise control is a distance and automatic speed control system. The cruise control works at speeds starting from 19 mph to 124 mph, utilizing radar sensors to maintain and measure required distance to the vehicle ahead through accelerating and braking.
The active lane assist enables the driver to stay in his or her lane through gentle impulses for better convenience and safety, especially on country roads and motorways. The system tells the driver if the vehicle is unintentionally drifting from the lane above about 37 mph.
The A4 Navigation is for the A4 Saloon and the AUDI A6 Navigation is also for its corresponding car model. The important thing is that this system guides the driver into reaching his or her destination safely and correctly.
