Servolve is proud to take part in the global "Earth Hour event -2011" to be conducted on the 26th of March 2011 at 8.30 PM, Singapore time.

Singapore (I-Newswire) March 23, 2011 - Servolve is proud to take part in the global "Earth Hour event -2011" to be conducted on the 26th of March 2011 at 8.30 PM, Singapore time. All lights in Servolve office at the Red Dot building will remain switched off from 8.30 PM until 9.30 PM to support this effort. It is in our hands to leave a cleaner, safer and greener earth to our ancestors.

The Earth Hour is a global campaign organized by Worldwide Fund for Nature (WWF) whereby one can participate by switching off the lights for an hour as a part of collective action against the fast changing climate across the world. On this day, all residents and businesses should voluntarily switch off any non-essential power supply at home or in the office.

The first ever earth Hour was witnessed in Sydney in the year 2007 when more than 2.2 million people and over 2,000 corporate businesses turned their lights off to take a stand against the dramatic climate change. This year on 26th march 2011 at 8.30 pm, the world will come together again to put in their efforts and switching off lights for an hour; contributing towards Earth Hour 2011.

A great response has been seen from students. In 2010, more than 6,00,000 students volunteered on earth Hour. This year, the number of students is much more is expected. There are a lot of ways through which students can volunteer like sending emails, newsletters, spreading the word within the campus, faculties, publications etc and encourage them to join Earth Hour movement. Students show a lot of enthusiasm and interest on this issue.
Earth Hour holds the record for the largest global sustainability movement in the history of mankind and involved the largest number of volunteers. Come and be a part of this largest movement.
