E2b Teknologies ‘Hits The Books’ For Literacy Month

e2b teknologies has recognized August as Literacy Awareness Month. All month, e2b employees will focus their charity efforts on the national literacy crisis.

Chardon, Ohio (I-Newswire) August 9, 2012 - e2b teknologies has recognized August as Literacy Awareness Month. All month, e2b employees will focus their charity efforts on the national literacy crisis. The company will be raising awareness on its social media platforms by posting information on how to organize help for the literacy problem, as well as posting general facts about literacy in the U.S. and abroad. e2b will also be hosting a book drive in the office, encouraging employees to gather pre-read books from friends and family members. The books from the drive will be donated to Continue Life, Inc.

Since 1984, Continue Life has been supporting Pregnant & Parenting Homeless Women in various ways. In 1988, Continue Inn was created in response to the need for housing the many homeless, pregnant mothers left to live in the streets. Continue Inn acts as a safe shelter until pregnancy has ended or other housing arrangements can be made. In 2005, the shelter expanded its services to families with open cases at the Department of Children & Family Services. The program provides support services to these families in a structured environment that helps to keep families intact. In 1995, Continue Inc established Hope & Glory Transitional Housing & Independent Living. This program provides pregnant and parenting women with education, skills in balancing the demands of motherhood with employment, and aid in delivering healthy, drug free babies.
