E-Healthpoint Bags The Genpact Nasscom Prestigious Best Business Model Award

Online, February 23, 2012 (Newswire.com) - e-HealthPoint Services India Pvt Ltd, received the prestigious Genpact NASSCOM Social Innovation Honours Award for 2012 for their innovative Business Model in the category "ICT led Social Innovation by a 'For Profit' Organization, from Mr Kapil Sibal, India's Union Minister for Information Technology , Human Resources Development and Telecom in a glittering ceremony attended by more than 1000 + Top IT executives drawn from across the globe at the 20th NASSCOM Leadership Forum.

The award is in recognition of e-HealthPoint's pioneering work in providing a unique, innovative multi-service delivery platform model that effectively leverages technology in the Health, Water & ICT domains, thereby contributing to improved Health and wellbeing for low income communities. e-HealthPoint was adjudged as winner from amongst more than 1000 entries via a three stage selection process spanning about four months. Over the two years of its existence e-HealthPoint has provided more than 30,000 consultations, 15,000 diagnostics, 35,000 prescriptions and access to safe drinking water for more than 5,00,000 rural inhabitants. More than 60 percent of these clients are women and children.
