Silicon Oasis TechForum to Facilitate Capacity-Building, Technology Entrepreneurship and Innovation in Dubai

Dubai (I-Newswire) July 2, 2012 - Dubai Silicon Oasis Authority (DSOA) and Optimus Technology and Telecommunications today announced the launch of Silicon Oasis TechForum, a networking platform for technology professionals, experts, academics and students to help capacity-building, technology entrepreneurship and innovation in Dubai.

Established through a memorandum of understanding (MOU) between DSOA and Optimus Technology and Telecom, the forum is additionally backed by Silicon Oasis Ventures (SOV) and Silicon Oasis Founders (SOF).

Featuring monthly community gatherings, the forum will host industry specialists to offer easy to understand presentations on topical industry subjects to educate and stimulate discussion. Silicon Oasis TechForum will additionally serve as a virtual community that empowers visionary leadership, highlights best practices, and offers case studies to help identify best solutions for challenging problems. The forum will work closely with leaders in the tech-space, academia as well as technology and business communities such as incubators to host joint activities.

The inaugural Silicon Oasis TechForum event is scheduled to take place on July 10th, 2012 at Dubai Silicon Oasis Campus from 7:00pm onwards. Participants will also stand to win exciting prizes through raffle draws. The TechForum event will be held on the second Tuesday of every month.
