Dubai's No.1 South Indian Club Nite - SIMBLY SOUTH

Indian music isn't all about Bollywood. There's also a fun, versatile edge to South India, which is explored through a unique once-a-month dance night titled 'Simbly South'. True to its name, it's loud, kitsch and loads of madness.

Dubai is a city that glitters and sparkles all night long. Innumerable party rooms spin you into a trance with RnB, Rock, DnB, House, Pop, Hip-Hop, Reggae, Iranian or Bollywood tracks. And now, to add variety to that already impressive club line-up is a new exclusive genre that's exclusive to South Indian music. Yes, you heard it, right.

Indian music isn't all about Bollywood. There's also a fun, versatile edge to South India, which is explored through a unique once-a-month dance night titled 'Simbly South'. True to its name, it's loud, kitsch and loads of madness.

Tracks are handpicked from Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu and Kannada movies, albums, remixed, and leaves Dubai's South Indian community wanting for more. A night where you can see women actually kicking their heels off, and letting their hair down to rock the floor. An event that takes place every First Friday from 10:30 PM onwards at Hues Boutique Hotel - Aurora Lounge & Terrace.

Simbly South is a packed night of 300+ pax with either theme nights or South Indian celebrities spotted at the club/lounge. Simbly South - Dubai's One & Only Chic South Indian Club Night, was launched in April 2013 with an intention to unite the south Indians under one roof swaying away to glory.

It's a brainchild of Dubai veteran Jim Thomas, who found a unique way to connect to his roots and the country he was born in. He termed it a new sub genre - Dravidian Massive Bass (DMB). He believes music has no language, and even if their is one, then learning new languages are great. Isn't it?

Clearly, Jim's proved that there's more to South India, than just the 'Lungi Dance'!

DJ DAVE ZOHBAA is the resident DJ of Simbly South [U.A.E's No.1 South Indian DJ] also a favorite DJ of Bollywood actress Priyanka Chopra.

The New Year is about new beginnings and I'm excited to collaborate with Park Hyatt Chennai, and DJ Dave Zohbaa to create a perfect start to 2014! Energies will be at an all-time high as we move into 2014," Priyanka said in a statement.
