New Jersey man sentenced to eight years in prison for killing a teacher with his truck while driving under the influence of alcohol.





















(I-Newswire) November 19, 2009 - Recently in New Jersey, a man was sentenced to eight years in prison after he got behind the wheel of his pick-up truck while under the influence of alcohol and hit a 39-year-old school teacher on her motorcycle, killing her. According to the facts, the man made a left hand turn in front of the motorcycle and the victim fell to the ground while trying to avoid a crash. The man ran over the motorcycle with his pick-up, and the woman died the following day as a result of her injuries. The man must serve 85% of his term before becoming eligible for parole, which is approximately 6.8 years behind bars.
