Drama Rainbow Introduces Famous British Drama in Education to Beijing Kindergarten Kids with TiE Shows

Beijing, China (I-Newswire) March 3, 2011 - Today at a press conference one of Drama Rainbow's directors, Mr. Anthony announced with great pride that Drama Rainbow has put together the first TIE (Theater In Education) team, which will soon be visiting dozens of kindergartens throughout Beijing to introduce Chinese students and parents to the unique, popular, and successful teaching method from the U.K. known as Drama in Education.

TiE is the little sister to DiE which inserts DiE students into a show that illustrates how the British creativity training methods benefit children from any country and culture.

Drama in Education or "DiE" for short, utilizes drama and story-telling as a platform to teach young children to think creatively, using inquiry and their own imagination that fosters and cultivates original thinking and ideas. DiE was first introduced in China in 2008 by Drama Rainbow, but has been thriving in the U.K. and Europe for well over 25 years, where it has become very popular with parents. Studies at many universities including UCLA and Stanford, as well as the European DICE project, have all proven that children in their formative years (3 to 8 years old) who have been exposed to DiE, develop IQs and test scores that are 10%-20% higher than their peers, as well as much higher levels of confidence, communication, and social skills. Both TiE & DiE uses interactive role-play where the children themselves determine the paths and outcomes of every story in which they play key roles.
