Dr. Leah Hollis of Patricia Berkly LLC To Give Keynote at Montgomery County Community College

Online, September 13, 2013 (Newswire.com) - Dr. Leah Hollis will give the keynote address at the 19th Annual Technology and Learning Conference will be held on Friday, October 4, 2013. Hollis is a noted educator, researcher, and lecturer. She has an exemplary career in higher education administration where she has held senior leadership and faculty posts. Dr. Hollis has taught at Northeastern University, the New Jersey Institute of Technology, and Rutgers University. She received her Doctorate of Education in Administration, Training and Policy Studies from Boston University, as a Martin Luther King, Jr. Fellow. Dr. Hollis continued her professional training at Harvard University through the Graduate School of Education, Higher Education Management Development Program. She also earned certification in Project Management and Executive Leadership at Stanford University and Cornell University respectively.

Dr. Hollis's professional faculty experiences have included online positions with Northcentral University, Capella University, Strayer University, and the University of Phoenix. This breadth of online teaching experiences serving developmental education, adult learners, and graduate students has informed her extensive perspective on working with the virtual student.

Her keynote lecture entitled "I like to tell the story" will offer insight to engaging students online as more than 10 million students are expected to enroll in online education in the next five years. Engaging students with stories to help them access classroom concepts and to find additional inspiration can be a great way to assist students who at times struggle with the online environment.
