Download Frenzy Raises Money for Homeless Veterans
Author of The Great Majestic Fortress donates profits to homeless veterans in Tennessee.
Nashville, TN (I-Newswire) October 30, 2012 - Through Veterans Day, 2012, author Denise Mistich will donate 25% of all profit from the sale of her paperback and 100% from the Kindle edition to Room in the Inn’s program exclusively for homeless veterans in Nashville, Tennessee.
In partnership with the U.S. Department for Veteran's Affairs, Room In The Inn’s Campus serves those who have served us all, by defending our country. Transitional housing, employment counseling, education, and case management are provided. Since the inception of the program we have housed 144 veterans. Of those, 109 found full time employment and 61 obtained their own apartment.
The Kindle edition costs $1.00, so Mistich needs a lot of downloads in order to make a difference.
About the Book:

Inspired by a massive oak tree at Cedar Creek Campground in Mount Juliet, Tennessee, The Great Majestic Fortress, by Denise Davidson Mistich, illustrated by Seth Fentress, presents important pieces of American history to young readers through short stories and beautiful illustrations.
It helps them understand that the freedom they enjoy in the United States is a gift, calling to their attention the gift and the Giver. You and your children will love and enjoy this compelling little book.
"If a massive old oak could talk, what would it tell us about our history? What does it know, that we have forgotten?"
Tina Ragsdale, M. Ed., says "This is a great tool to use in the classroom to teach children the importance of our veterans and their sacrifices, as well as the importance of looking to God for guidance. My 3rd graders loved it and I will read this book every year to my students on Veterans Day. The comments, questions and shared thoughts of my young students simply amazed me."
