Donald Mroz, Ph.D. Named Provost of Post University

Waterbury, Conn. (I-Newswire) September 22, 2011 - Post University, a traditional university with an excellent online program, announced today it has named Donald Mroz, Ph.D., Provost of the University. Dr. Mroz also will continue to provide leadership to the School of Business as its Dean.

Dr. Mroz will be responsible for further aligning the University’s undergraduate and graduate degree programs and academic support services to ensure greater overall academic integrity among all its programs. He also will focus on educational outcomes within each discipline, and work to further improve retention and graduation rates among the University’s traditional campus-based and online student populations.

“Dr. Mroz was instrumental in the development of an innovative and applied online MBA degree program, and has provided outstanding leadership of the School of Business,” said Tom Samph, Ph.D., president and CEO of Post University. “In addition to having the right academic credentials for the position, his decades of real-world business and consulting experience will enhance our ability to prepare students for careers. Before joining Post University, Dr. Mroz worked on strategy and leadership development with numerous organizations, including schools, and large and small for-profit companies and not-for-profits. He also has worked as a vocational and career education consultant, and has taught at the University of Michigan and University of North Carolina. He received his Ph.D. from Fielding Graduate University and holds a B.S. from Northern Michigan University and Master’s degrees from Fielding and Eastern Michigan University.
