Donation from prominent Las Vegas business owner ensures viability of league's 2011 season

Henderson, Nevada (I-Newswire) March 28, 2011 - Henderson Little League, one of the most popular youth sports organizations in Southern Nevada, kicked off its 2011 season with a new title sponsor: Dollar Loan Center. The group recognized Dollar CEO Chuck Brennan’s $10,000 donation to the organization at its opening games this month.

“Chuck Brennan is a stellar example of local business owners giving back to their communities,” said Steve Wagner, board member for Henderson Little League. “We lost a major sponsor and were in jeopardy of not being able to run the organization as well as we would have liked during the 2011 season. When Chuck learned of our need, he didn’t hesitate to help.”

Henderson Little League is the city’s largest baseball organization with more than 600 children ages 5-15 participating this season. The organization pays for uniforms, field rentals, umpires and other expenses throughout the year. “With the help of Dollar Loan Center and dozens of other sponsors, we are able give to these deserving children the games and activities they love.”

Henderson Little League is part of the national Little League Baseball programs. “There are so many benefits for the children,” said Wagner, whose four sons all participate in the program. “Little League not only teaches them how to play the game, but also about loyalty, respect, determination and other important life skills.”

Dollar Loan Center is a premier provider of short term loans in 49 locations throughout Nevada, South Dakota and Utah. The company and its employees give to dozens of organizations in Nevada including Opportunity Village and the Boys and Girls Clubs of Las Vegas.
