My wife thinks that having more than one of any tool is a waste, but if a tool breaks down half way through a job at least I know I've got back-up! When I start a job I finish it.

If you're a professional, you'll know that a full arsenal of tools is essential. But amateur D.I.Y. enthusiasts like me are also of the mind that it's no good waiting for a job to come up and then discover you haven't got the right tool. Far better to buy the tools first and then think about what home improvements need to be done!
