Dimension Control Systems’ Vice President Don Jasurda To Speak On Engineered Quality Solutions At IMTS Conference

Don Jasurda will discuss the topic of creating customized solutions to close the loop between design and manufacturing.

Troy, MI (I-Newswire) September 4, 2012 - Don Jasurda, VP of Sales at Dimensional Control Systems (DCS), a quality software solutions provider, will be speaking on bridging the gap between design and manufacturing using interconnected tools at the 2012 International Manufacturing Technology Show (IMTS).

The event will be held at the McCormick Place in Chicago, Illinois, September 10 - 15, 2012. Jasurda will present “Closed-Loop Tolerance Analyses Enable Plant Floor QA Process Improvement” at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 13.

He will discuss the connecting of design and manufacturing through a closed-loop approach to create more robust designs, and to engineer through production to reduce quality issues and improve manufacturability. By focusing on design for manufacturing in a virtual environment, and simulating the assembly process, dimensional analysis can create optimized tolerances, reduce the need for rework, and predict future quality problems before production begins. With the closed-loop approach, analysis does not end after production begins, but instead utilizes real data to continually improve upon the design and manufacturing process throughout the product life cycle.
