Beaver Medical Group in Redlands, Calif., and Legacy Health System in Portland, Ore., implemented HL7 interfaces to connect their Digisonics workstation with their facility's RIS and EMR, facilitating an efficient automated workflow.

(I-Newswire) June 24, 2010 - HOUSTON (June 24, 2010) – Digisonics customer, Beaver Medical Group in Redlands, Calif., implemented HL7 interfaces for automated Results-Out processing to the facility’s GE Centricity EMR. The HL7 application provides customer sites with a true electronic workflow to help meet the necessary “meaningful use” requirements by ensuring an error-free transmission of patient information from the Digisonics software to a previously specified EMR, HIS and/or RIS.

In Portland, Ore., Legacy Health System implemented Digisonics HL7 interfaces to transmit medical information for Orders-In with the site’s Cerner Radnet RIS and added the DigiLink module for PDF Results-Out to Epic Radiant. In addition to utilizing standard HL7 communication protocols, the DigiLink application gives users web-based access to patient images and reports from Digisonics WebView software while clinicians are working in EMR/EHR, RIS, HIS and PACS.
