(DRSI) - www.drsi-inc.com – announces the formation of its Diabetes Healthcare Advisory Board to guide the development and implementation of outreach and education programs throughout the diabetes population. The objective is to help diabetics manage their disease-state and pre-diabetics to delay or avoid the onset of diabetes. Richard Corlin M.D., FACP, past president of the American Medical Association, will serve as Chairman of the DRSI Diabetes Healthcare Advisory Board. The other members include D. Walter Cohen D.D.S., Joyce Malaskovitz PhD., R.N., C.D.E., Andrea Pennington M.D., and Katja Van Herle M.D., M.S.P.H. All of the board members will come from different healthcare disciplines that deal with diabetes. They will advise DRSI within their field of expertise about how to best educate diabetics.

He served as past President of the American Medical Association and was also a member of the Advisory Committee to the Director of the National Institutes of Health. Dr. Corlin has devoted much of his energy and efforts to healthcare reform, and is a practicing specialist who is invited to speak worldwide about critical healthcare issues.
