Deleted City Council Meeting Minutes Recovered

After he left office, Mayor Donald E. Green ordered all the City Council meeting minutes removed from the internet. Fortunately, many have been preserved as evidence at http://phildinn.wordpress.com/ Many reveal ethical lapses.

(I-Newswire) October 6, 2009 - When Donald E. Green stepped down as Mayor of Kankakee, Illinois, he ordered the deletion of all City Council Meeting minutes from the City's website. Currently, only those minutes of meetings after January 7, 2008 can be viewed at

http://www.citykankakee-il.gov/City%20Council%20Minutes/

Fortunately, some of the deleted meeting minutes have been recovered. Beginning today, they will be seen without FOIA action. Some of the recovered minutes will include Kankakee's Tax Deal with convicted Dog-abuser Michael Vick and other ethical shortcomings. Sadly, the meeting minutes that discuss the drunken driving of Police Officer Herscher by The Honorable Bubba "James" Cox were not recovered.
